Tucson Window Replacement – Getting a Quote

As a top competitor in the Tucson-area window replacement industry, we know that there are a lot of other window companies vying to be called the best in Tucson.

All these companies have their ways of selling their product, and many of them are very honest in their practice. Still though, there are plenty of window replacement ‘specialists’ out there who will use certain points to steer you away from the better companies.

American Openings strives to be the best in all categories from pricing, to construction and quality, and even installation and customer service.

We like to be as unbiased as possible with our customers, and so we’re here to tell you a few things you should be on the lookout for when getting quotes for your new home windows.

Red Flags for Window Replacements:

“Today Only” or “Last Day for This Price”

There is no reason for one day only pricing. At American Openings we suggest you get three quotes for window replacements and take your time deciding. The factory/manufacturing representative is your best source for any questions that you might have.

“Better Framing Materials”

Companies boasting that their windows are made from better materials, especially the vinyl extrusion/casing, aren’t really being truthful. All vinyl windows manufactured in the US must meet the same standards. They must be American-made and use virgin vinyl.

“More Vinyl Chambers”

Over-pressuring sales representatives will sometimes mention their windows have more vinyl chambers than others. This is only a benefit for a certain type of window installation, and it has no bearing on energy efficiency. This type of window is not meant for our Arizona climate. By having that amount of chambers, it allows for much easier clogging when the window is trying to weep from microbursts.

You should choose windows that are manufactured IN the climate you are living in. Local manufacturers like American Openings know their area better than any outsiders.

If you are unsure of something a window salesman is telling you, or something does not sound correct, please contact a local manufacturer to get the truth about the product you are looking to purchase.

American Openings will always be happy to help answer any questions you might have about window replacement, and with an unbiased perspective. You can contact us by using our contact form, or call us at 520-664-1202
